Will National Doughnut Day Help Save California?

Will the annual National Doughnut Day help save California from its financial calamities?  Will the future sales generated by National Doughnut Day bring up the sales taxes revenue needed to bring California back in the black?  One could wish for the best.  Now, the Moonbeamer in the office must lead by example!  Moonbeam, make sure you go out on June 1st, and get everyone in Sacramento to buy plenty of doughnuts, so that the sales revenue generated will bring down the State Deficit.

Current TV Shocks Keith Olbermann With A Countersuit

Olbie has gone onto the war path with Al Gore.  He has made the wild claim that Al Gore and Current TV have breached the contract, and wrongfully fired him!  Oh My!  Olbie, in his usual arrogant manner, has gone after the wrong liberal!  Even I, a conservative, stand with Al Gore on this one.  How arrogant is Olbie going to be?  Is he that stupid?  He has so many unexcused absences from the job, and he wants to be paid millions for this?

The war of salaries has just begun...so far, Al Gore has the upper hand on the old windbag!

Alberrrrt!  You need to countersue that old beast!  He's gonna soak you for all you got!!

Even Mr. Ed has some wise words for Al Gore!  How long will Olbie keep on flinging mud at Al Gore and his liberal media company Current TV?  This fight is beyond funny! 

Will Howie keep cheerleading for Al?  If he has a brain, he will!

LACMA's Journey To The Los Angeles County Museum Of Art

The 150 mile journey from the Jurupa Valley off Interstate Highway 15 in Riverside County to Los Angeles has finally ended. This 340 ton boulder traveled on surface streets at 3 MPH and made several stops along the way.  It could not go under any bridge because of its 30 foot height, and the length of the vehicles required wide maneuvering paths to clear itself.  It took 3 diesel tractor trailers to manage to move it along its journey.

I managed to come across the journey when it arrived in Cerritos, off South Street between Studebaker Road and Palo Verde Avenue, right by the Cerritos Auto Square.  It then made its journey through Lakewood, into Long Beach on Atlantic Avenue.  It had its problems when it passed the Long Beach Memorial Hospital;  the 6% grade going downhill near Willow Street where the Newport-Inglewood earthquake fault line crosses Atlantic Avenue forms a bowl, making it treacherous for the boulder to proceed.  The uphill battle required plenty of power from the 3 diesel trucks to climb up the grade, while the downhill made it extremely dangerous, causing a risk of going out of control, should the brakes fail.  I managed to get some pictures when it passed by at Pacific Coast Highway, (State Highway 1).

Finally, I headed to Western and Wilshire to capture the last leg of the journey on Saturday Morning.  The pictures will speak for themselves.

KFI AM 640 "CLEARS THE CHANNEL" OF JOHN AND KEN

The management at Clear Channel's Los Angeles radio station AM 640 KFI has suspended John Kobylt and Ken Chiampou known as John And Ken until February 27 2012.  KFI claims that the show hosts said some insensitive things about the death of Whitney Houston.

Funny, I smell a rat here!  Did they really suspend them for that reason only?  Or does having Barack 0bama in town have something to do with it?  My bet is the latter.  They're afraid that John and Ken will expose 0bama's new clothes to the naked truth, and they're using the death of Whitney Houston as a cheap excuse to keep them off the air.
